Building a Second Brain: An Overview

The core idea is that our biological brain isn't designed to reliably store information. A "second brain" is a digital system where we capture, organize, distill, and express our ideas and knowledge.

The CODE method (Capture, Organize, Distill, Express) proposes four steps: capture what resonates, organize by project or area of action, distill the essential, and express by creating something new with that knowledge.

The most important thing isn't accumulating information, but making it actionable. Every saved piece of knowledge should have a clear future purpose.
